Raffle for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

It's the holiday season, and as part of our 25 Days of Giving at Cathy's Creations we decided to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I'm sure most of you know about St. Jude, but for those who don't, here is some information.

St. Jude was founded by actor and philanthropist Danny Thomas in 1962. Early in his career as a young starving actor, Thomas made a vow: If he found success, he would open a hospital dedicated to St. Jude, the patron saint of hopeless causes. He found great success, and as a result, many advances have been made in the field of pediatric medicine.

St. Jude's mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world. Consistent with Thomas' vision, Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay. On average, 5,700 patients visit St. Jude each year.

We have 4 dolls from A Stitch in Time Gifts to raffle off to raise money for St. Jude. They were purchased and donated by Jennifer Carlson and Cara Delight. Each chance to win is $2. The cut off for donations (and chances) will be Monday, December 20th at 5pm eastern. I'll draw names that night and dolls will be shipped on Tuesday!

A note about these dolls: they are fabulous. A friend received one as a baby shower gift and her baby is now 2 and will not go near any other doll! They are sturdy, well-made and so soft. Leah sold out of them in her shop, but has let us know that if there is interest, she will make more after the new year!

Click Donate to purchase chances to win these dolls! Let's raise lots of money for St. Jude!
